HAWAII DISTRICT COUNCIL IN WAIKIKI

EPISCOPAL DISTRICT PAW
Oahu, Hawaii
I couldn't believe we were visiting
such a beautiful place for a PAW Council. I had only previously
seen the islands on television shows such as Magnum PI.
We arrived in Honolulu on a Monday.
We spent most of the first few days exploring Waikiki and the North
Shore on Oahu and going on a few tours. The Hawaii District
Council began on Wednesday. The Council was held at the Pacific
Beach Hotel. We stayed across the street at the Outrigger Prince
Kuhio in Waikiki. Our hotel was quite beautiful. I think it's classified
as a 3-star establishment, but when I saw the lobby ---it was impressive!
The services at the Council were truly inspiring.
Suffragan Bishop Nathaniel Davis of Seattle, WA. spoke on taking
authority over certain situations that arise in our daily lives.
Jesus was in our midst and He blessed us greatly during that service.
Two young Japanese women entered our banquet room to see what all
the excitement was about. Thankfully the Lord brought to my remembrance
a few Japanese phrases so I could communicate to them what God was
doing in our midst while the saints were rejoicing, shouting, and
praising God! They told me they felt so happy in our presence and
I told them they were sensing the POWER of the HOLY GHOST!
Amazing huh? I hope seed sown that night will flourish in their
hearts...
